Edoardo Bosi
Edoardo Bosi is an artist and composer working primarily with sound. His practice moves between music, film and sound design, performance, and experimental research, exploring the relationships between sound, image, space, and the natural environment.
His work spans independent musical projects under the names Edoquarto and Nyah Bear, commissioned composition and sound design for audiovisual media, sonic work for brands, live performance, and interdisciplinary artistic research.
Born in the UK and raised in Uganda, Edoardo developed an international perspective through collaborations with filmmakers and artists across Africa, Europe, the UK, and the United States. He later pursued his studies in Music Production and Sound Engineering in Berlin, Germany, further developing a practice grounded in both technical expertise and artistic exploration.
His work is driven by a curiosity for sound as both a musical language and a way of experiencing, interpreting, and connecting with the world.
Sound is the medium I return to across different forms of work. The context may change — a song, a film score, a field recording, a live performance — but the underlying impulse remains the same: to give form to what cannot always be described in words, and to explore what can be expressed through music and sound.
I am drawn to the spaces between genres and disciplines, and to the ways sound can connect experiences and practices that might otherwise seem unrelated. My piano practice, experimental research, and commercial work are not separate identities, but different expressions of the same curiosity: a continuous investigation into listening, musical language, and the ways we experience sound.
Increasingly, my practice is turning toward natural and biophilic sound, and toward the relationships between sound, natural environments, human attention, and perception. I am interested in listening not only as a musical act, but as a way of understanding our relationship with the world around us.
