Nyah Bear was born in Berlin in 2020 as a project shaped by the atmosphere, experiences, and aesthetics that surrounded Edoardo during that period. Its first release, The Battery Keeps Dying / The Return, distills that moment into two fast-paced dub techno tracks, combining a sense of movement, tension, and repetition with a distinctly urban character.
Self-released exclusively on vinyl, the two-track LP exists as a deliberately physical and limited expression of the project. Its artwork was specially commissioned from an artist after they listened to the music, creating a visual counterpart that emerged directly from the sound.
Nyah Bear remains a snapshot of a particular place and period, while also representing an early exploration of electronic music, texture, rhythm, and the relationship between sound and visual identity.
